The Role:
You will be responsible for the strategic account and territory management of a geographic territory by selling CPI’s training programs and products to targeted organizations, orchestrating all aspects of the sales process, and facility-based training program logistics. Additionally, this role is responsible for retaining and growing an existing customer base while developing new business clients through company-supported marketing efforts and prospecting additional markets or organizations that could benefit from CPI programs and products.
What You Get To Do Everyday:
- Coordinate CPI training programs throughout the geographic territory and sell products that meet customer training plans diagnosed through a discovery call with key decision-makers and committee members.
- Meet established sales goals in an individual player role as part of the CPI Sales Team. This is achieved through prospecting geographic territory for new customers and customer retention and expansion.
- Develop new leads through research and contact inbound marketing leads to discuss clients’ training needs and offer solutions. The majority of contact is via telephone, email, fax, and social media. Occasional travel may be required.
- Conduct strategic account management calls to solve problems and provide current training data to increase sales in existing accounts.
- Design and deliver presentations on the implementation of customer solutions.
- Create and maintain a sales action plan.
- Manage forecastable pipelines via our client relationship management (CRM) system.
- Support leadership with active involvement in projects that occur either within the department or cross-departmentally.
- Represent CPI at local, state, or national conferences and tradeshows.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years or more of experience in sales
- Knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office products
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently
- Accountable for work produced
- Positive attitude, high-energy
- Well-developed interpersonal skills

What We Offer:
- $50,000 annual base plus uncapped commission
- Average first-year earnings of $65,000 - $80,000
- On target earnings of $87,500 (base + commissions)
